A bird’s eye view through Paragliding
I had paragliding on my bucket list for some time but didn’t dare do it on my own. So when a friend asked me if I would like to do it together, I jumped at the opportunity. Being the adrenaline junkie that I am, my main goal of paragliding was for the thrill. Having done some other adventure sports I think bungee jumping still tops that list for most thrilling adventure sports. Nonetheless, it was quite an experience right from take-off, the flight, the landing not to mention the bird’s eye-view of the city. The instructors were extremely friendly and experienced.
Besides, I enjoyed the entire experience from take-off, the flight, the spectacular view to the landing. The instructors are experienced, friendly, they were generally amazing. We were blessed with a clear sky giving us a stunning view of the surrounding mountains and the city. The whole glide lasted about 8 minutes, I only wish it could have lasted longer than that. Although most of the ride was calm and relaxed, I did scream a little bit as we descended, I almost thought we were going to land in rice fields nearby.
Considering that most of the paragliding locations are remotely located, I am glad that I traveled and booked with a travel company, Wink travels. Traveling to and from Boryeong, Daecheon spot, a 10-15 minute ride from the city was made easier. However, if you are traveling alone, the team can pick you up from the train station. Hopefully, I can do this again without an instructor.
